Youngsta CPT's New Video is a Celebration of his Identity

June 6, 2019 | BY PRSPCT

Youngsta CPT is the rap ambassador of the mother city, and he keeps flying the Cape Town flag high with his unique lyrics and tight beats. His recent release, the video for ‘The Cape Of Good Hope‘, is no different, the song addresses several issues from growing up in the streets of the Cape Flats to racial tensions that continue to plague the city.

Youngsta recently dropped a video for the song and it is a vibrant reflection of life in one of South Africa’s most volatile and beautiful cities. The song is a beautiful contradiction that reconciles the difficulties faced by people of color in the city while celebrating the icons that hail from Cape Town.
